Graphical Abstract of CardiQ Development Process and Outcomes

1. Innovation Lab Core Question
   • Core Question: “How might we ensure patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib) are treated according to guidelines?”
   • Inputs include Innovation Lab, HRS AF Centers of Excellence, and Expert Roundtables, culminating in an ANSWER Development phase.
2. Draft AF QI Framework
   • A structured framework is drafted based on gathered insights.
3. Refinement and Testing
   • Real-world testing is conducted through:
     • Health System Pilots 1 & 2
     • Widescale Insights Gathering
   • The framework undergoes refinement with input from a Steering Committee and Core Team.
4. Digital Transformation and Resource Development
   • Outputs include:
     • A digital website for the framework.
     • A curated Resource Library managed by HRS member volunteers.
     • Development of a Facilitation Guide & Playbook.
5. Result:
   • The launch of Heart Rhythm Society’s CardiQ: a global quality community for AF care, featuring:
     • The AF QI Framework.
     • A curated Resource Library.
     • A collaborative Community.

This initiative aims to enhance guideline-based AF care through collaboration, digital transformation, and resource sharing.
